I knew the month of October would suck RL-wise. Fifty million court hearings in one month would do that. The beginning of November has been thoroughly kicking my ass, too, though. :P
Everything should be much calmer now, hopefully. My brother was visiting, my uncle needed someone to pet-sit (which involved overnight visits), and my darling, jealous Missy grew anxious and started digging again. This involves her scratching and biting at herself. The biting portion of it leads to hellacious furballs. So there was fur and cat puke everywhere, and Missy was clingier than usual the past week or two.
Fortunately, I have some nice vacation time coming the next two months. There's some family visitation coming up, but Missy's health problems are proving to be a good reason not to stay too long. I love my family, but the drama is exhausting.
This weekend is one of my four-day weekends. I'm planning on trying to get caught up on my writing. Due to all this fun stuff happening in the past month or so, I decided not to even attempt Nano and to focus on my current writing projects instead, including Giftmas fics. Some of them I'm already sketching out, but I'm going to put up a post about it soon. :)
Now I'm off to find dessert. Thanks to those damned Stephanie Plum novels, I want donuts. I don't even really LIKE donuts!
